Stuntman and Actor Gothandaraman Passes Away at 65

He had been a part of the industry for 25 years. Initially joining films as a stuntman, he gained fame for his role as the comedy sidekick 'Thimingalam' to actor Santhanam in the 2012 Sundar C film Kalakalappu, which also featured Vemal, RJ Shiva, Anjali, and Oviya in the lead roles.

In addition to that film, Gothandaraman is also known for his appearances in Vijay's Bhagavathi (2001), Ajith's Kireedam (2007), and Vedalam (2015). He also worked as a stunt choreographer in films like the Ramki and Sanghavi starrer Ellame En Pondattithaan, Rajkiran's Ellame En Rasa Dhaan, and the Sivaji Ganesan-Vijay starrer Once More.

The actor, in a recent interview, made a sorrowful statement that his family and relatives had estranged him due to his illness, and he is now being taken care of by the Stunt Union.
