Suriya's 45th film, directed by RJ Balaji, recently began shooting in Coimbatore. Trisha Krishnan is reportedly the female lead, marking Suriya’s first collaboration with RJ Balaji. Following Kanguva's disappointment, Suriya aims to bounce back with this ambitious project.

Malayalam actress Swaswika, known for her role in Lubber Pandhu, is rumored to play a pivotal part in the film, described as a “devotional entertainer.” RJ Balaji, along with cinematographer-actor Natty, will also feature in the movie.

Touted as an action adventure with fantasy and mythological elements, the film is being made on a grand scale. RJ Balaji reportedly spent over a year crafting the script, initially pitched to Thalapathy Vijay. AR Rahman will compose the music, while SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures will produce the project.

Suriya 45 is expected to be released in late 2025, with more updates likely by December 2024.
