Suriya joyfully celebrated his 50th birthday surrounded by a massive gathering of fans outside his Chennai residence. The moment was captured in videos showing him warmly greeting the crowd and snapping selfies, quickly becoming a viral sensation.

Having started his film journey in 1997, Suriya’s career has seen a variety of roles and genres. Despite the lukewarm response to his 2024 release, Kanguva, he earned critical acclaim with Retro in 2025. Currently, he is shooting Karuppu alongside RJ Balaji, scheduled for a Diwali release, and is set to make his Telugu debut with a project directed by Venky Atluri.
