Tamil star hero Suriya is currently working on a period drama titled "Retro". The film is scheduled for a theatrical release simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu on May 1st. According to the latest buzz in film circles, the movie is reported to have a runtime of 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 30 seconds.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie features Pooja Hegde in the female lead role. The film also stars Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Karunakaran, and Vidya Shankar in prominent roles. Actress Shriya Saran will be seen in a special song in the movie.

On the technical front, cinematography is handled by Shreyaas Krishna and editing by Shafique Mohammed Ali. The production design team is led by Jackie. Retro is jointly produced by Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment, with Santhosh Narayanan composing the music. The audio and trailer launch event is scheduled to take place tomorrow, April 18.
