Chennai, Tamil Nadu: The Tamil Nadu government has officially announced the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for films released between 2016 and 2022. Among the awardees, the critically acclaimed Tamil film Jai Bhim, starring Suriya in the lead role, emerged as the biggest winner, securing seven major awards.

Released in 2021, Jai Bhim received accolades including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Villain, Best Supporting Actor, Best Music Director, and Best Playback Singer, making it the most awarded film of the year. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 13.
