Thalapathy 69 Update: H Vinoth To Direct Vijay's Final Film With Samantha As Lead, Shooting To Start In October

Fans of Thalapathy Vijay have been eagerly anticipating his upcoming film, The Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T), directed by Venkat Prabhu. Now, there's exciting news about Vijay's 69th film, Thalapathy 69. 

Vijay, who is shifting focus to his political career with his new party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazagam, is set to make Thalapathy 69 his final film before retiring. The film, produced by KVN Productions on a grand scale, will feature a score by Anirudh Ravichander and be directed by H Vinoth. Mamitha Baiju will also play a significant role.

Initially, DVV Danayya, producer of the Oscar-winning RRR, was slated to produce, but he has stepped away from the project.

Vijay's Record Paycheck

For his final film, Vijay is reportedly receiving a substantial remuneration of Rs 200 Crore.

Samantha to Star Opposite Vijay Again

Samantha is set to star opposite Vijay for the fourth time in this film, following their previous collaborations in Kaththi (2014), Theri (2016), and Mersal (2017).

Thalapathy 69 Shooting Schedule

The film is nearing the end of pre-production and is scheduled to officially launch in the coming weeks, with regular filming expected to begin in the first week of October.
