Thangala: Vikram's Upcoming Film Gets Censor Approval, Set for August 15 Release

Chiyan Vikram's upcoming film, Thangalan, Directed by P. Ranjith, the film is set to release on August 15. The periodical action drama has garnered praise from the Censor board, receiving a U/A certificate with minor cuts. The film, with a runtime of 2 hours 36 minutes, is set against the backdrop of the Kolar gold mines during the British era and has been produced with a substantial budget of around Rs. 100 crores by KE Gyanvel Raja under the Studio Green banner.

Thangalan stars Parvathy and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles and will be released in Telugu and Tamil by Mythri Movies. Despite past successes like Aparichitudu directed by Shankar, Vikram continues to take on diverse roles and projects, maintaining strong industry interest.
