On August 4, the Thangalaan team celebrated Malavika Mohanan's birthday by unveiling a new poster of her character, Aarathi. The poster portrays Aarathi as a revered and feared local deity in the Kolar Gold Fields. The accompanying message stated: "Those who dared to challenge her presence felt the full force of her wrath." Wishing our strong and fierce Aarathi,  a wonderful birthday and a gleaming year ahead."

A Captivating Period Drama

The highly anticipated film has created significant buzz, with its trailer garnering over 10 million views on YouTube. It has received a U/A certificate and is set for release on August 15. The trailer depicts British officials hunting for gold in the Kolar Gold Fields during the colonial era, with Vikram playing a tribe leader caught in conflict. The film features dramatic action scenes, including confrontations with a Black Panther, and is directed by Pa Ranjith.
