In the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay’s party Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) won 108 seats. With the support of Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML, the party secured the majority required to form the government. Vijay has now officially taken oath as Chief Minister and has been asked to prove his majority in the Assembly by May 13.
