The Tamil action drama Vettaiyan, directed and written by T.J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions, is set to captivate audiences with its star-studded cast and compelling storyline. The film features Rajinikanth in the lead role, with Amitabh Bachchan making his Tamil debut, and an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Jisshu Sengupta, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.

Announced in March 2023 as ‘Thalaivar 170’ to celebrate Rajinikanth's 170th film, the official title was revealed in December 2023. Filming took place from October 2023 across various locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Vettaiyan is scheduled for a global release on October 10, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

‘Manasilaayo’ Song Releases Today

The first single from Vettaiyan, "Manasilaayo," will be released today at 5 PM. The track, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, features vocals from the late Malaysia Vasudevan for the first time in 27 years in a Rajinikanth film. The song is inspired by a line from Rajinikanth's recent hit Jailer (2023).
