Viduthalai Part 2, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori, will be released in theaters on December 20, 2024. After its theatrical run, the film will be available for streaming on Zee5, with satellite rights acquired by Kalaignar TV.

Plot

Set in the 1960s, the sequel follows Perumal Vaathiyaar’s transformation into a revolutionary leader, with a focus on his relationship with his wife (Manju Warrier). The story also explores Kumaresan, a new police constable caught between loyalty and his conscience, after an encounter with rebel leader Perumal.

Viduthalai Part 2 premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, receiving critical acclaim.
