Vignesh Shivan Clarifies Controversy Over Government Hotel Purchase

Vignesh Shivan, the husband of actress Nayanthara, has provided clarification regarding a controversy where he was reportedly seeking a government-owned hotel in Pondicherry. Vignesh Shivan has directed many hit films in Tamil. His upcoming project is titled "Love Insurance Company," starring Pradeep Ranganathan as the hero. Kriti Shetty, Seeman, and Kalari Kishan also play key roles in the movie. "Love Insurance Company" is being co-produced by Seven Screen Studios and Nayanthara's Red Pictures. Anirudh is composing the music for the film. A song from the film, "Deema Deema," was released a few months ago and went viral. The movie is set for release next summer, and the shooting is in its final stages.

Recently, director Vignesh Shivan visited Puducherry, where he met with the state's tourism minister. During the visit, he attempted to acquire the government-owned Seagull Hotel, but reports later stated that the minister had declined the request. Following this, netizens mocked Vignesh Shivan, posting memes and trolling him by questioning whether anyone would ask for the price of a government bungalow.

In response to the controversy, Vignesh Shivan provided clarification.He clarified, "I visited Puducherry to get approval for my film 'Love Insurance' shoot and subsequently met with the tourism minister."During that time, someone accompanying me inquired about some things they needed. This was misinterpreted, and I was criticized with memes. But I enjoyed it."
