Vijay's Upcoming Film 'Thalapathy 69' Could Be Titled 'Naalaiya Theerpu'

Thalapathy 69, starring Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, may be titled Naalaiya Theerpu, symbolizing Vijay's transition to politics. The title holds special significance as Vijay made his debut in the 1992 film Naalaiya Theerpu, directed by his father. The film is expected to mark his final appearance in cinema before fully focusing on his political journey.

The movie, which began filming in October 2024, will wrap up by March 2025 and is slated for release in October 2025. The first poster of the film is expected to be unveiled on January 26, Republic Day. The movie is reportedly a remake of the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, which impressed Vijay with its theme of women's empowerment. The cast includes Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Menon, and others.
