On Friday, actor Vijay Sethupathi unveiled the first look poster for the upcoming thriller Lara, which features Ashok Kumar, known for his role in Muruga, in the lead.

Lara marks the directorial debut of Mani Moorthi, who mentioned that the film's story is inspired by true events that took place in Karaikal a few years ago.

Notably, the title look poster was earlier revealed by Sathyaraj, who commended the director for crafting a compelling storyline.

The film stars Ashok alongside female leads Anushree, Venmathi, and Varshini. Supporting roles are played by Mathew Varghese, Karthikeyan, and SK Babu.

The technical team behind Lara includes cinematographer RJ Raveen, music composer Raghu Sravan Kumar, editor Valarpandi, and art director Murugan. The film is produced by Karthikesan under MK Film Media Works, who also appears in the movie and has co-written the lyrics with Muthamil.
