After Vijay Sethupathi's successful performance in Maharaja earlier this year, the film’s makers announced its release in China on November 29. The film, described as a whodunit with a familiar storyline, has been praised for its engaging screenplay.

Maharaja, which debuted on June 14, was both a critical and commercial success before being made available on Netflix the following month. The movie features Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natarajan Subramaniam in key roles, along with other notable actors like Abhirami, Aruldoss, and Boys Manikandan.
