Trishas Alleged Role in NDA-TVK Alliance Buzz
Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Speculation is gaining traction in Tamil Nadu’s political circles regarding a potential alliance between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Notably, actress Trisha is being informally discussed as a possible key link influencing these developments.
Recent political discourse suggests that the ruling DMK currently maintains a lead of approximately five percentage points over the opposition NDA. Meanwhile, various survey reports indicate that TVK, the party founded by veteran actor Vijay, could secure around 12 percent of the vote share, making it a significant factor in the state’s political landscape.
Amid these developments, NDA leaders are reportedly maintaining a cautious approach. Unconfirmed reports also suggest efforts to bring Vijay closer to the alliance framework. The Karur stampede incident and the ongoing CBI inquiry have added pressure on Vijay, while his upcoming film Jananayagan has reportedly faced delays in obtaining clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification.
Adding to the speculation, actress Trisha—widely believed to share a close association with Vijay—recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Mumbai. Shortly thereafter, Vijay appeared before the CBI on May 15, with reports indicating that the proceedings concluded without complications. Additionally, the censor board has agreed to re-examine his film, a development that some in film and political circles attribute to Trisha’s intervention.
On another front, Mithun, son of AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, is also reported to have met Trisha on multiple occasions, further intensifying political speculation.
Despite widespread discussions, no official confirmation has been issued regarding any alliance or Trisha’s involvement.
