Hanuman film Japan release October 2024
Prashant Varma’s blockbuster superhero action film, "Hanuman," is set to make its international debut in Japan this October. The film, which was a major hit in 2024, will also enjoy a special 3D re-release in select Indian theaters. Director Prashant Varma highlighted Japan's growing interest in South Indian films, fueled by the success of movies like 'RRR' and 'Kalki 2898 AD.' He believes the shared emotional sensibilities between South Indian cinema and Japanese culture contribute to this trend.
Despite a tough year for Indian cinema, "Hanuman" thrived at the box office, grossing over 250 crores worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of Sankranti. The film stars Teja Sajja, with Amrita Iyer as his love interest, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar as his sister, and Vinay Roy as the villain. Vennela Kishore, Getup Sreenu, Satya, and Raj Deepak Shetty also feature in important roles. Produced by Niranjan Reddy under Prime Show Entertainment, the film’s success was bolstered by affordable ticket prices and broad accessibility.
