‘Srinivasa Mangapuram’: Krishna’s Grandson Jayakrishna Makes His Hero Debut

Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, the grandson of legendary actor Superstar Krishna, is all set to make his debut as a leading hero with the upcoming film Srinivasa Mangapuram. According to the film’s presenter Ashwini Dutt, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters by the end of May next year.

Jayakrishna, who is the son of Ramesh Babu, is stepping into the acting world just like his grandfather’s family tradition. Interestingly, Krishna’s eldest son, Ramesh Babu, had also made his debut as a hero, while Mahesh Babu had started his journey as a child actor. Superstar Krishna had high hopes for Ramesh Babu and collaborated with him on a few films. However, Ramesh Babu, not being deeply passionate about acting, eventually stepped away from the limelight, whereas Mahesh Babu went on to debut as a hero with Rajakumarudu.

Following the unfortunate passing of Ramesh Babu, his son Jayakrishna has undergone formal training in acting and is now ready to step into the spotlight. The movie is being produced by Gemini Kiran, with Ashwini Dutt as the presenter. Ajay Bhupathi, known for the hit film RX 100, is directing the project. Rasha Tadani, daughter of Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, will be making her Tollywood debut alongside Jayakrishna. The music is being composed by GV Prakash, and the film’s regular shooting is progressing rapidly.

Ashwini Dutt, who has previously produced films with Krishna and Mahesh Babu, is now collaborating with the third-generation hero of the Ghattamaneni family. He has a history of producing films featuring three generations of actors from prominent Telugu cinema families, including the Nandamuri and Akkineni clans.

Srinivasa Mangapuram is currently in production and is planned for release to coincide with Krishna Jayanti at the end of May 2026. Krishna Jayanti falls on May 31, which will be a Sunday in 2026. Therefore, the film is expected to reach audiences slightly earlier, on Friday, May 29.
