Actor Tottempudi Venu Booked in Construction Dispute Case
Actor Totteampudi Venu and four others were booked by Hyderabad CCS police over a construction dispute involving Progressive Constructions and Ritwik Projects.

Film actor Totteampudi Venu, along with Progressive Constructions' executives Bhaskar Rao, Hemalatha, Srivani, and MD Paturi Praveen, have been booked by Hyderabad CCS police on Tuesday.According to the police, Progressive Constructions had previously secured a hydroelectric project work in Uttarakhand through Tehri Development Corporation. The project was subcontracted to Ritwik Projects and Swathi Constructions in Banjara Hills. However, Swathi Constructions withdrew midway, leading Ritwik to commence the work in 2002.
A dispute arose between Progressive Constructions and THDC, leading both parties to approach the Delhi High Court. An amount of ₹1,010.25 crore was deposited in the THDC account. Meanwhile, Venu and the Progressive Constructions management canceled their agreement with Ritwik. Following a complaint from Ritwik MD Ravi Krishna, the Banjara Hills police filed a chargesheet, and based on the orders of the Nampally Second Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, cases were registered against Venu and Progressive Constructions' executives.
