It is well-known that actress Kasturi was arrested by Chennai police at the residence of film producer Harikrishnan in Hyderabad, in connection with inappropriate comments made about Telugu people in Tamil Nadu. However, before this, she released a video in which she clarified her stance.

In the video, Kasturi stated that she was not afraid and had not run away from anything. She mentioned that she had come to Hyderabad only for shooting purposes and emphasized that she had given her phone to her lawyer.Kasturi further confirmed that she would fully cooperate with the police regarding the case.
