Ramya, who made her debut to Telugu audiences with the film Abhimanyu, recently approached the court. In 2023, she appeared in a cameo role in the Kannada comedy-drama Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare. However, she has requested the producers to remove certain scenes from the film, which were used without her permission, and approached the Commercial Court Complex in Bangalore.

In her complaint, Ramya mentioned that certain scenes from the trailer and the film were used without her involvement. She demanded not only the removal of the video clips but also a compensation of one crore rupees. Ramya accused the producers of not taking any action despite her repeated requests to remove the scenes.Industry rumors suggest that Ramya has stated she will withdraw the case if the disputed scenes are removed from the film.
