Although it has been over two years since that release, he hasn’t announced any new films until recently. Adivi Sesh, alongside Shruti Haasan, announced a movie titled "Dacoit," which also carries the tagline "a love story."

The shooting for the film is currently underway, and glimpses of the film have already been released. However, news emerged that Shruti Haasan had exited the movie for certain reasons. A new poster was released recently, showing only Adivi Sesh alongside another heroine, without Shruti Haasan's face, confirming her departure and revealing Mrinal Thakur's involvement in the film.

On the occasion of Adivi Sesh’s birthday, new posters from "Dacoit" were released, officially announcing Mrinal Thakur’s participation. Mrinal shared a post, saying, "Yes, I left, but I loved with all my heart." In response, Sesh shared another post, writing, "Yes, you loved, but you betrayed, I won’t forgive... It must be settled." This suggests that the movie will revolve around an intriguing love story between two lovers. The film is being produced under the Annapurna Studios banner, with young cameraman Shanil Deo directing. There is speculation about why Shruti Haasan left the movie and the impact it had due to the shooting already underway. The film is expected to release in 2025.
