Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit Postponed to April, Delay Sparks Questions Around Spy 2

Adivi Sesh Dacoit Postponed

Adivi Sesh Dacoit: Adivi Sesh’s upcoming action thriller Dacoit has been officially postponed, a development that may significantly affect the release plans of his next film, Spy 2. The film stars Adivi Sesh in the lead role, with Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. Directed by Shaniel Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, the project has been carrying strong expectations since its announcement.

The film faced multiple delays during production. Actress Shruti Haasan, who was initially signed for the female lead, exited the project, following which Mrunal Thakur was brought on board. These changes contributed to the prolonged production schedule. Dacoit was initially slated for release on March 19, clashing with other major releases including Toxic and Durandhar 2. Despite earlier statements that the film would not be postponed, the makers have now deferred its release.

The new release date is expected to fall in April, with April 10 earlier being considered as a tentative option. This shift, however, is likely to have a ripple effect on Spy 2, which was planned for a May 1 release. The strategy was to maintain a short gap between the two films, but the postponement of Dacoit has disrupted those plans.

With both films carrying high expectations, industry observers believe that any further delay in Dacoit could force a revision of Spy 2’s release schedule as well. An official confirmation regarding the final release dates of both films is awaited, as fans closely track developments surrounding these back-to-back projects.
