Akhanda 2 Release Date Confirmed: Balakrishna Film to Hit Screens on Dec 12

Fans of Balakrishna have been eagerly waiting for ‘Akhanda 2’, one of the most anticipated Tollywood films. The release, which faced a last-minute postponement due to financial issues, now seems set to hit theaters soon. Renowned producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja revealed in an interview that all hurdles have been cleared and the film is expected to release on December 12. He also shared insights about the financial challenges that affected the movie’s schedule.

“This year, both ‘Harihara Veera Mallu’ and ‘Akhanda 2’ faced delays because of pending financial obligations to producers. Once the issues for ‘Harihara Veera Mallu’ were resolved, the film released promptly. Now, the obstacles for ‘Akhanda 2’ have been addressed as well. My prediction is that it will likely release on December 12. Fans are eagerly waiting, so we want it to come out as soon as possible,” said Bharadwaja.

He added, “The delay won’t significantly impact the film’s performance. The opening numbers are expected to remain strong. However, releasing on the originally mentioned date may affect revenue slightly, potentially by around Rs 3 to 4 crore. Regardless of whether a big film is good or not, the majority of revenue usually comes in during the first three days.”

Ticket bookings for ‘Akhanda 2’ are now open in many regions, including international locations like Australia. Fans are hoping for an official confirmation from the makers soon. Directed by Boyapati Srinu and starring Balakrishna, the film was initially scheduled for December 5, but the release was postponed at the last moment.
