Akhil, son of actor Nagarjuna, got engaged to Zainab on November 26 last year. Zainab, a theater artist and businesswoman, is nine years older than Akhil. The couple is rumored to have met at Rana Daggubati’s wedding, with some speculating it was a love marriage, while others believe it was arranged due to business ties between their families.

Akhil's brother, Naga Chaitanya, married Sobhita in December 2024, also at Annapurna Studios. Though no official confirmation has been made, the wedding rumors continue to circulate.
