Akhil Akkineni's Lenin: Bollywood's Pratik Gandhi or Tamil Star
Akhil Akkineni is finally gearing up for his next movie after a long gap. Determined to deliver a hit this time, Akhil seems to be taking extra precautions with his new project. Recent reports suggest that a prominent Bollywood star might play the villain in his upcoming film. After the disaster of Agent, Akhil took a break of one and a half years, leaving his fans missing him on screen. However, the news of Akhil giving the green light to his next project has brought immense joy to his fans. The film's shooting has recently begun, with director Murali Krishna Abburi, who previously helmed Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, taking charge. Produced under the Annapurna Studios banner, the movie stars Sreeleela as the female lead, and the title Lenin is reportedly being considered. The film is said to be an emotional love story blended with high-voltage action.
The trend of Bollywood actors playing villains in Telugu films is gaining momentum. Following this trend, the makers of Akhil Akkineni's new film Lenin are also considering a Bollywood actor for the antagonist's role. Reports indicate that Pratik Gandhi, famous for his role in Scam 1992, is being considered as the main villain in the film. Discussions between Pratik and the makers of Lenin are said to be underway.
However, Pratik is currently busy with a series of projects. If he agrees to the role, there is a chance the shooting schedule of Lenin might be delayed. In that case, the team is considering Tamil actor Vikranth as an alternative for the villain's role. The producers of Lenin are expected to make a final decision on this matter very soon.
