Akhil Akkineni, fondly known as Ayyagaru by his fans, has faced challenges in finding a breakout hit despite his talent in acting, dancing, and singing. Over his 9-year career, he has worked with top directors but struggled to achieve success. Though The Most Eligible Bachelor gave him some relief, and Agent did okay, Akhil took a break to explore new stories.

During this gap, he has locked in some promising projects. One of them, directed by Murali Kishore Abburi (known for Vinaro Bhagyam Vishnu Kada), will be officially announced on the 8th of this month. The film has been titled Lenin, and it is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sitara Entertainments. Early reports suggest that this project could be the one that brings Akhil a solid hit.
