Akkineni Akhil’s Risky Blind Role in Lenin After Agent Flop Creates Buzz

Akkineni Akhil

Akkineni Akhil, the heir to the Akkineni legacy, is making a sincere effort to bounce back after the major setback he faced with Agent. As part of his comeback strategy, Akhil took a short break and carefully chose his next project titled Lenin. The film is being directed by Murali Kishore Abbur and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna under the prestigious Annapurna Studios banner.

Initially, actress Sreeleela was announced as the female lead opposite Akhil. However, following her exit from the project, Bhagyashree Borse was brought in as her replacement. Ever since these updates, fans have been eagerly waiting for clarity on the film’s release, but the prolonged delay has only increased curiosity and concern.

Now, a fresh update about Lenin has gone viral on social media. According to the buzz, Akhil will be portraying the role of a visually impaired man in the film. Very few Telugu actors have attempted such characters. Notably, Ravi Teja played a blind character in Raja The Great, which turned out to be a commercial success. However, since that film leaned heavily toward comedy, the emotional depth was limited.

In Akhil’s case, netizens feel that taking on a blind character could be a bold but risky decision, especially at this point in his career. It is still unclear whether Akhil will appear as a blind man throughout the film or only for certain portions. This detail is expected to be revealed later.

There is no denying that Akhil is stepping out of his comfort zone with this role. Expectations are high, as he is yet to deliver a solid hit. Many believe that if Lenin comes with a strong storyline, it could help him overcome the average talk surrounding his previous films. At the same time, some argue that such experiments are necessary for growth. For now, only time will tell whether this gamble works in his favor.
