Alencier Lopez's Controversial Take:Rajinikanth And Amitabh Bachchan Can't Act

Malayalam actor Alencier Lopez, who played a small role in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, has sparked controversy with his comments about working alongside Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. He shared his experience, stating that he realized how they "could not act" during a particular scene. "For the film, I was flown to Mumbai, accommodated in a five-star hotel, and had to sit as a judge in a shot. Opposite me, on both sides, were Amitabh Bachchan Sir and Rajinikanth Sir," Lopez revealed.

Criticizing Rajinikanth’s exaggerated action sequences, Alencier said, "During my college days, I saw Rajini Sir stopping helicopter blades with his teeth. So, I was curious to see how he acts in front of the camera. During Vettaiyan shooting, I observed his stylized acting, body language, and courtroom exit. Then, Amitabh Bachchan roared like a lion, and I had to act after that."

He further added, "I realized I couldn’t compete with them due to my lack of stylized acting and deep baritone. I understood that my place was in films directed by Dileesh Pothan, Sharan Venugopal, and Rajeev Ravi. Similarly, I also realized that they could not act like me."
