Allu Aravind Speaks Out After Attack on Family Home, Law Enforcement Takes Action
Allu Aravind, father of actor Allu Arjun, has spoken out for the first time following the attack on their Hyderabad home on December 22. The incident was allegedly carried out by members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU JAC), protesting the stampede during Arjun’s visit to the Sandhya Theatre for the Pushpa 2 premiere. The protestors demanded Rs 1 crore from Arjun for the family of the victim, Revathi, who died in the stampede.
In his statement, Aravind expressed restraint, stating, "It is time for us to act accordingly. Now is not the right time for us to react." He confirmed that the police had detained the offenders and filed a case against them. He emphasized that law enforcement was ready to take action against anyone creating further disturbances.
The protestors damaged property and threw tomatoes and stones at the house, demanding support for Revathi's family. Meanwhile, Arjun’s children were sent to their maternal uncle's home for safety during the unrest.
The incident stems from the tragic stampede at the theatre on December 4, which led to Revathi's death and her son's injuries. While Arjun was arrested on December 13, he maintains he was unaware of the death until the following day, despite allegations from Telangana’s Chief Minister that he knew about it during the event.
