Allu Arjun is currently breaking records in the film industry, and his remuneration for Pushpa 2: The Rule has become a major topic of discussion. Recently, Forbes India revealed the list of top 10 highest-paid actors for 2024, and Allu Arjun topped the list with a staggering ₹300 crore salary for the film. The actor is collaborating once again with director Sukumar for this action thriller, with Rashmika Mandanna playing the lead role. The movie is set to release on December 5. Tamil actor Vijay, known for his recent blockbusters Leo and The Greatest of All Time, charges ₹275 crore for his upcoming film Vijay69, and Bollywood's Shah Rukh Khan secured ₹150-250 crore for Dunki.
Following Allu Arjun on the Forbes list are other big names from Indian cinema, including Rajinikanth (₹150-270 crore), Aamir Khan (₹100-275 crore), Prabhas (₹100-200 crore), Ajith (₹105-165 crore), Salman Khan (₹100-150 crore), Kamal Haasan (₹100-150 crore), and Akshay Kumar (₹60-145 crore). The stars of Pushpa 2 also received substantial paychecks, with Rashmika Mandanna earning ₹10 crore for her role and Fahadh Faasil, who plays the antagonist, receiving ₹8 crore. The film’s promotional materials suggest that Fahadh’s screen presence will be significantly larger in this sequel compared to the first film.
Additionally, actress Sreeleela, who featured in the hit Kissing Song from Pushpa 2, reportedly earned ₹2 crore for a single song. The song has gone viral on YouTube and set a record for the most-watched South Indian song within 24 hours. Pushpa 2 will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Bengali on December 5. The pre-release events held recently in Patna and Chennai garnered massive responses, with more than 2 lakh fans attending the trailer launch in Patna, creating an atmosphere similar to a political rally.
