Amazon Prime Video Updates: Device Usage Limits
Amazon Prime Video, one of the most popular OTT platforms in India, offers both streaming benefits and shopping perks, making it widely used by many. Often, users share a single account to enjoy its services. In this context, Amazon Prime Video has updated its terms and imposed limits on device usage.
Currently, Prime Video users can access the service on up to five devices simultaneously, regardless of the type of device. However, while maintaining the limit on total devices, Amazon has restricted usage on TVs. If more than two TVs need to access Prime Video simultaneously, users will have to purchase an additional connection. This change will come into effect from January, and Amazon has started notifying users via email. Users can manage their devices through the "Manage" option in the settings page.
At present, Amazon's annual membership costs ₹1,499, with quarterly and monthly plans priced at ₹599 and ₹299, respectively. This membership allows ad-free access to movies and web series. Additionally, a Prime Lite subscription is available for ₹799 per year, which includes ads. For those interested only in shopping benefits, the Shopping Edition subscription is available for ₹399 per year.
