Anchor Vishnu Priya Moves Telangana High Court to Quash FIRs in Betting Apps Case

Anchor Vishnu Priya has approached the Telangana High Court regarding the betting apps promotion case. She has filed a quash petition in the court, requesting the cancellation of two FIRs registered against her in this case. The High Court is scheduled to hear Vishnu Priya's petition today.

The Telangana government is taking strict action against those involved in promoting betting apps. Cases have been registered against several individuals, including Tollywood actors, at Panjagutta and Miyapur police stations. In Panjagutta, cases have been filed against 11 individuals, and some of them have already received notices to appear for questioning. Recently, Vishnu Priya and Ritu Choudhary appeared before the Panjagutta police for questioning. They were again asked to appear for an inquiry today (March 25), following which Vishnu Priya decided to approach the Telangana High Court.

In the same case, YSRCP spokesperson and anchor Shyamala also appeared before the Panjagutta police for questioning on Monday. She was interrogated for nearly four hours. However, before appearing for questioning, Shyamala had approached the Telangana High Court, which directed the police not to arrest her but asked her to cooperate with the investigation. Following the court’s direction, she attended the inquiry. Now, all eyes are on how the Telangana High Court will respond to Vishnu Priya’s petition.
