Telangana YouTuber Anil Geela, famed for My Village Show, stars in his first lead role in the village-based romantic comedy thriller Mothevari Love Story, alongside Varshini Reddy Junnutula. Directed by Shiva Krishna Burra and produced by Madhura Sridhar, the series is set in Lambadipalli.

Anand Deverakonda unveiled the first look, praising the show's rootedness and expressing his fondness for My Village Show. ZEE5’s Anuradha Gudur highlighted Anil's talent spotted during the pandemic. Anil, also the executive producer, thanked the Deverakonda brothers for their support.

The creators, including My Village Show founder Sriram Srikanth, see the series as a major leap from YouTube to OTT. Madhura Sridhar called it the first true Telangana-rooted series.
