AP High Court Rejects Ram Gopal Varma's Petition

It is well-known that film director Ram Gopal Varma made posts in the past that defamed the personalities of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM, and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan. Recently, the Madiyapadu police registered a case on this matter. The police visited Ram Gopal Varma's residence to serve him a notice to appear for questioning. However, Varma filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, requesting protection from arrest, but the court dismissed his request.

Ram Gopal Varma faced a setback in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He had filed a petition in the High Court seeking protection from arrest, and the court conducted a hearing on the petition on Monday morning. During the hearing, the High Court rejected Varma's request and instructed him to file for bail if he had concerns about arrest.

During this process, Varma's lawyer requested some additional time for the police inquiry. In response, the higher court advised that Varma should address his request before the police, not the court.
