Baapu has premiered on OTT. The dark comedy, initially released in theaters on February 21, is now streaming on JioHotstar. Directed by Dayakar Reddy, the film follows a farmer's family in rural Telangana dealing with financial and emotional struggles. Sudhakar Reddy stars as the family head, with Brahmaji playing his debt-ridden son. Avasarala Srinivas, Dhanya Balakrishna, and Aamani are also featured. While the film presents a strong setup for a dark satire, it falls short of its potential, as noted in the review. The movie was produced by Raju and CH Bhanu Prasad Reddy under Comrade Film Factory.
