Bhaskar Seeks to Withdraw Complaint
During the Pushpa: The Rule premiere screening at Sandhya Theatre, a stampede resulted in the tragic death of a woman, leading to significant controversy surrounding Icon Star Allu Arjun's arrest. The incident escalated when Telangana CM Revanth Reddy strongly criticized Allu Arjun in the Assembly, shocking Tollywood. According to recent reports, Revathi’s husband Bhaskar, and Sritej’s father, who is undergoing treatment, have decided to take a bold step by filing a petition in court to withdraw the complaint filed against Allu Arjun.
Bhaskar’s initial complaint led the police to file a charge sheet against Allu Arjun and others involved. However, Bhaskar reportedly opposes Allu Arjun's arrest, stating that the actor alone is not solely responsible for the tragic incident. Despite his stance, police officials have clarified that complaints involving deaths or significant injuries cannot be withdrawn, unlike minor injury cases.
Legal experts have stated that after investigations, police will file the charge sheet in court, and the strength of the complaint will determine the case's outcome. If the complainant or witnesses retract their statements or show hostility, there is a possibility that the court may dismiss the case.
