Director Boyapati Srinu has been one of the most prominent names in Telugu commercial cinema, especially for his successful collaborations with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Their films have consistently generated significant buzz in Tollywood. However, their recent project, Akhanda 2, reportedly did not meet industry expectations in terms of box office performance.

Following this, there has been uncertainty regarding Boyapati Srinu’s next directorial venture. Known for mounting high-budget action entertainers, the director is expected to collaborate with a star who commands a strong market presence.

Earlier reports suggested that Boyapati was planning a film with Allu Arjun. However, the project did not materialize. Industry sources now indicate that Boyapati has shifted his focus and approached Rana Daggubati for the lead role in his upcoming film.

While discussions are believed to be in the preliminary stage, there has been no official confirmation from either side. Sources suggest that Boyapati has prepared a high-voltage commercial action script tailored to suit Rana’s screen presence. Rana, who has previously expressed interest in commercial entertainers alongside his content-driven films, is reportedly keen on exploring this opportunity.

Recently, Boyapati Srinu was in Mumbai, where he met Allu Arjun, who is currently shooting for a film directed by Atlee. Reports claimed that Allu Arjun appreciated Boyapati’s concept. However, the actor’s schedule appears packed. He is presently committed to projects with Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Trivikram Srinivas. Additionally, discussions around Pushpa 3 are ongoing, making his lineup extensive for the next few years.

Given these commitments, Boyapati has reportedly developed a fresh storyline and narrated it to Rana Daggubati. An official announcement is awaited.
