BoycottLaila: Prithviraj's Comments Spark YSRCP Backlash, Vishwak Sen Responds

A movie titled "Laila" has been made with Vishwak Sen as the lead actor. Director Ram Narayan, who previously made the biopic "Battala Ramaswamy", has directed this film. It is produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner and is set to release on February 14. Notably, Vishwak Sen is seen in a lady getup in this film. As part of promotions, Megastar Chiranjeevi was invited as the chief guest for the pre-release event. However, before Chiranjeevi's arrival, actor Prithviraj's speech at the event has now sparked controversy among YSRCP supporters.

Prithviraj mentioned that he played a character named "Mekala Sathi" in the film. He jokingly said that at the beginning of the shoot, there were around 150 goats, but by the time filming was completed, only 11 goats remained. He added that he was unsure whether this was a coincidence or just fate. However, YSRCP supporters are now alleging that his statement was a veiled comment targeting former YSRCP MLAs. This has led to widespread anger on social media, with many YSRCP fans expressing their outrage.

As a result, the BoycottLaila hashtag is now trending on social media, calling for a boycott of the film. With this unexpected controversy escalating, Vishwak Sen has decided to hold a press meet this afternoon. He is set to address the media once again to clarify his stance on the issue.
