A case has been filed against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma at the Maddipadu police station in Prakasam district. The case stems from posts Varma made on social media while promoting his movie Vyuham. In these posts, he allegedly defamed the former leader of the opposition and current Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, along with his son Nara Lokesh, and daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani.

The complaint was filed by the TDP Mandal Parishad Secretary, Ramalingam, who has accused Varma of spreading defamatory content. Following the complaint, a case has been registered under the IT Act, and an investigation is currently underway.
