A case has been filed against actor Vijay Deverakonda under the SC/ST Atrocities Act at Rayadurgam police station. The complaint stems from his remarks during the pre-release event of Suriya’s film Retro on April 26 at JRC Convention, Rayadurg. Vijay’s speech included controversial comments comparing Pakistan’s actions to tribal resistance from 500 years ago.

On May 17, Tribal Communities state president Nenawat Ashok Kumar Naik filed a complaint, alleging the remarks were derogatory. Police registered the case on Saturday after obtaining court permission.
