COVID-19 is making a comeback across Asia and India, with recent reports confirming more than 1,000 new infections. Celebrities are also affected—Bollywood’s Shilpa Shirodkar, Nikita Dutta, and Tollywood singer Smita’s mother have tested positive.

Smita shared her mother's experience with the new variant, describing changing daily symptoms like fever, headache, sore throat, and stomach ache. Despite being vaccinated, this is her mother’s third infection. Smita urged people to wear masks again and warned that the illusion of safety is due to fewer tests, not fewer cases.
