December 12 Movie Release Rush: Mowgli, Akhanda 2 and Over 10 Films

Akhanda 2 is set to hit theaters on December 12, and fans are eagerly awaiting its premiere. Originally slated for release on December 5, the movie had to be postponed, pushing its debut to the 12th. Many moviegoers were anticipating it on the 5th, but the rescheduling means that several films initially planned for that date were deferred. Now, with Akhanda 2 occupying the December 12 slot, more than 10 movies are slated to release on the same day. This raises the question: will it be feasible for all these films to premiere simultaneously? There’s uncertainty over how many movies might be postponed to accommodate Akhanda 2. Smaller productions, in particular, are unlikely to challenge this blockbuster. Even established producers, such as TG Vishwa Prasad, are considering delaying their films like Mowgli to avoid a clash.

So, which films are slated to release on this busy date? One is Mowgli, starring Roshan Kanakala, Sakshi Madholkar, and Bandi Saroj in lead roles. Expectations for this movie are high. Directed by Sandeep Raj, Mowgli is his follow-up after his earlier project, Color Photo.

Another film is Psych Siddharth, featuring Nandu in the lead. Nandu has reportedly dedicated tremendous effort to this project and sees it as a milestone in his career. The movie also features veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Brahmanandam in important roles.

Moreover, the Telugu dubbed version of Karthi’s Annagaru Vadhuru, featuring Kriti Shetty, is also scheduled, though its release is slightly delayed compared to the Tamil original. Aadhi Pinisetty’s Tamil movie Drive, a concept-driven film, is also hitting theaters, further crowding the schedule.
