Siva and the team have decided to trim the movie by 15 minutes
Director Koratala Siva is aiming for a major success with NTR's upcoming film, Devara. Following the disappointment of Acharya, there are high hopes riding on Devara as Siva has been paying extra attention to its production. To meet these expectations, the director is even willing to make last-minute edits, including after the film has passed the censor board. With only a week left until its release, everyone is eager to see what changes have been made.
Devara, starring NTR, is set to release on the 27th of this month on a pan-India scale. This marks the second collaboration between NTR and Koratala Siva after their successful Janatha Garage. Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor will be making her Telugu debut with this action-packed entertainer.
After the failure of Acharya, Koratala Siva is determined to make Devara a hit. Reports suggest that significant changes are being made ahead of the film's release. In particular, there is buzz in Tollywood that Siva made a bold decision to cut down the film's runtime.
Initially, Devara was slated for a runtime of two hours and fifty-seven minutes. However, with recent films facing criticism for extended runtimes, Siva and the team have decided to trim the movie by 15 minutes. The final runtime is now expected to be two hours and forty-two minutes.
It is also reported that the love track between NTR and Janhvi Kapoor has been shortened, and some comedic scenes have been removed to streamline the film. Additionally, the popular song "Daaudi," which created a lot of buzz, will not appear during the movie but will instead be featured in the end credits as a surprise for fans.
