Dil Raju Breaks Silence On IT Raids 'They Were Surprised By Our Honesty'

Noted film producer Dil Raju recently held a press conference to address the recent IT raids on his house, which lasted for four days. The media had earlier reported that illegal assets were seized from his property, and there were rumors about his detention by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Clarifying the situation, Dil Raju revealed that the IT officials were surprised by the honesty displayed during the search. He said, “The media sensationalized the news, but the officials only found 20 lakh rupees across multiple locations, including my house, my brother’s, my daughter’s, and our office. We have documentary proof for the rest of the assets."

Dil Raju also addressed the notion that the government might be targeting him. He pointed out that the raids were not limited to him, mentioning that other entities like Mythri Movie Makers and Abhishek Agarwal were also raided. Reflecting on the industry’s history with IT raids, he remarked, “Raids happen in the industry, and it’s my turn now. This isn’t new; it happened to me in 2008 as well.” Despite the media frenzy, he remained focused on his work, stating, “We’re having a successful year, starting with the hit film 'Sankranthiki Yaalaanam' for Sankranthi.” Interestingly, he did not comment on his film "Game Changer," which has faced poor performance at the box office.
