On June 10, singer Mangli celebrated her birthday at Tripura Resort, Chevella, attended by film personalities. Police later raided the venue, seized ganja and foreign drugs, and some attendees tested positive.

Actress Divi, who was also present, was rumored to be involved. She responded with an audio clip stating she was invited as a friend and had no involvement in the drug issue.
