Gaddar Telangana Film Awards to Be Held on June 14 After 14-Year Gap

Producer and Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman Dil Raju announced that the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards ceremony will be held on June 14. He revealed that the awards will be presented at the HICC venue. Dil Raju made this announcement during the curtain-raiser event of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad.

Dil Raju stated that there has been an overwhelming response from the film industry for the Gaddar Film Awards being presented by the Telangana state government. He recently mentioned that a jury of experts was appointed to select the awardees for these government-presented awards after 14 years. The Gaddar Awards jury meeting was held last Wednesday (April 17), chaired by renowned actress Jayasudha. The screening process of the nominations was discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said, “Even during the united state era, such a response was not seen for any film awards. We received 1248 nominations across all categories. The selection process is being conducted to ensure national-level recognition for the Telugu film industry.” He requested the jury members to evaluate the nominations impartially. Jury chairperson Jayasudha stated, “We are taking up the responsibility given by the government as a challenge and will complete the selection process.” She revealed that 1172 nominations were received in individual categories, and 76 applications came under feature films, children’s films, debut films, documentaries, and other categories.
