GAMA 2025: Tollywood's Grandest Film Awards Returns to Dubai on August 30

The stage is being set for the highly anticipated GAMA (Gulf Academy Movie Awards) ceremony, an annual event held in Dubai that showcases the talent of the Telugu film industry both domestically and globally.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Gulf Representative, preparations are in full swing for the upcoming edition of the GAMA Awards, which has already successfully hosted four editions in Dubai. This year's event is scheduled for August 30, while the GAMA Excellence Awards will take place a day earlier, on August 29.

As part of the lead-up to the event, the official theme song was launched in Dubai on Saturday. The lyrics were penned by Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose, with Raghu Kunche composing and lending his voice to the track. The musical launch was attended live by Telugu celebrities based in the UAE. Tollywood actors Siddu Jonnalagadda, Teja Sajja, Kiran Abbavaram, Sree Vishnu, and Roshan graced the event. Actresses Meenakshi Chaudhary and Daksha Nagarkar, along with several top-tier actors and technicians from the industry, are also expected to take part in the upcoming event.

In addition, special performances will be delivered by actresses Urvashi Rautela, Ketika Sharma, Faria Abdullah, Priya Hegde, and Sridevi. Among the distinguished guests will be veteran comedian Brahmanandam, renowned directors Sukumar, Buchi Babu, Bobby, and Sai Rajesh, leading music composers Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman, and producers Ashwini Dutt, DVV Danayya, Chandrabose, Vennela Kishore, among others.

The awards will recognize excellence across 24 categories in Tollywood, with winners selected through a public voting process for films released in 2024. The 2025 GAMA Awards jury will be chaired by acclaimed filmmaker A. Kodanda Rami Reddy, veteran music composer Koti, and noted director B., under the overall guidance of Gopal.

Commenting on the event, Trimurti, Chairman of the GAMA Awards, noted, “The GAMA Awards are the biggest Telugu film awards function held in Dubai. Following the success of the previous four editions, we expect a large turnout from the Telugu diaspora for the fifth edition on August 30. The event is being organized in collaboration with Keinfra Properties.”

The event will take place at the spacious Sharjah Expo Centre, which can accommodate up to 10,000 guests.
