Hansika Motwani Seeks Bombay High Court's Intervention in Domestic Violence Case

Hansika Motwani Seeks Bombay High Court's Intervention

Tollywood actress Hansika Motwani has approached the Bombay High Court, seeking to quash a domestic violence case filed against her. She filed a quash petition in the court to dismiss the case. In December 2024, her brother Prashant Motwani's wife, Muskaan Nancy, lodged a domestic violence complaint against Hansika's family at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.

Muskaan alleged that Hansika and her mother, Mona Motwani, interfered in her marriage and relationship, leading to conflicts. She also claimed that her husband was involved in domestic violence. Due to the stress from these incidents, she developed Bell’s Palsy, a nerve-related disorder causing facial paralysis. Additionally, Muskaan accused Hansika and her mother of fraudulent activities related to property transactions.

Hansika and her mother, Jyoti Motwani, approached the Bombay High Court requesting the dismissal of the case under Section 498A. A bench comprising Justice Sarang Kotwal and Justice S.M. Modak issued notices to Muskaan Nancy and postponed the hearing to July 3. Muskaan, who gained fame through the TV serial "Mata Ki Chowki," married Prashant Motwani in 2021 but decided to separate in 2022. The domestic violence case filed in December 2024 has now become a controversial issue. Hansika and her mother had already secured anticipatory bail from the Mumbai Sessions Court in February.
