High Court Considers Petition Against Pushpa 2 Ticket Hike

Pushpa-2 Ticket Price Hike: High Court Hearing and Key Comments

The High Court recently heard a petition challenging the drastic ticket price hike for Pushpa-2, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar. The movie is set to release on December 5, but the producers have significantly raised the prices, especially for benefit shows, charging up to Rs. 800 per ticket. The petitioner argued that these prices, set for the first 15 days, would burden fans and claimed the extra money wasn't going to charitable causes.

In response, the producer’s lawyer justified the hike, citing the movie's high budget and government approval. The judge questioned the petitioner's claims, pointing out that food items like popcorn and water bottles are sold at even higher prices in theaters. The producer's lawyer clarified that the price increase applies to benefit shows for fan groups.

The hearing was adjourned to December 17 after the petitioner raised concerns about inconvenient show timings, including late-night and early-morning slots.
